The Nine Realms

One life. Nine places change can happen.

The Nine Realms grew from a fairly simple frustration: people kept trying to solve problems in the same place they could see them.

The Realms are not nine levels of achievement and you do not graduate from one into the next like a spiritual video game. They are nine different areas of human experience that interact with one another.

Why nine?

Because one explanation was never enough.

A person might be trying to change a behaviour when the real issue is identity. They might be trying to control an emotion that is actually giving them useful information. They may understand exactly why they are stuck and still find that some deeper part of them has no intention of moving.

Eventually I stopped trying to make every human difficulty fit inside one model.

The Nine Realms are the result. They overlap because human beings refuse to organise themselves into convenient departments, but each Realm asks a different question and looks at a different part of the larger picture.

There is an order to them because each adds something to what came before. You can still enter wherever life currently needs you. There is no Realm police.

Notebook, compass and working tools representing the Practitioner Realm01

Realm One

The Practitioner Realm

Before you change anything, look at the person doing the changing.

Realm One begins with the operating system underneath change: intent, intuition, confidence, faith, rapport and alignment. It develops self-awareness, emotional steadiness, subconscious communication and the ability to notice what is happening in you while you are trying to help yourself or somebody else.

The word Practitioner can sound professional, but the underlying principles apply to self-work too. Unfortunately, there is no setting that allows you to leave yourself in another room.

Realm Two

The Consciousness Realm

What is the system actually doing?

The Consciousness Codex maps six dimensions — Word, Thought, Physical, Subconscious, Alpha and Omega — alongside deeper layers of experience and the interactions that produce Reason, Will, Vision and coherence.

It gives us a way of looking at the rather common human experience of having several parts of ourselves trying to run the meeting at once, usually without an agenda and sometimes without speaking to each other.

Realm Three

The Identity Realm

Who are you being while all this is happening?

Identity influences what we expect, what we tolerate, what we attempt and what feels possible. Realm Three explores core, secondary, tertiary and situational identities, archetypal patterns, shadow material and the ways a sense of self is constructed over time.

The important shift comes when identity stops being something you merely inherited and becomes something you can examine and build more deliberately.

Realm Four

The Emotional Realm

Emotion is information.

Realm Four looks at emotion as feedback about relationships between different parts of the wider system. It explores Tension, Compression and Flaccidity, emotional coherence, resistance, transmutation, subconscious imprints and the difference between sensation and the meaning we attach to it.

Emotion is often trying to tell us something important. It could perhaps have sent an email. Apparently this is the system we got.

Realm Five

The Healing Realm

Sanomentology

The Healing Realm brings together subconscious communication, dream architecture, emotion, trauma, integration and the mind's capacity for organisation and repair.

There are two very different ways into this Realm: personal Healing Audio Sessions for your own use, and full Sanomentology Practitioner Training for professional work. We keep those routes separate because personal experience and professional responsibility are not the same thing.

Realm Six

The Liberation Realm

The Greatest Escape

Not everything shaping your life began inside you. Family, culture, fear, expectation, authority, institutions, media and social conditioning all leave their fingerprints.

The Liberation Realm asks which of those influences still belong in your life and which you are ready to stop carrying. Plato had a cave. We have considerably better graphics.

Realm Seven

The Heroic Realm

The Hercules Quest

Insight eventually has to become action. Realm Seven uses the twelve labours of Hercules as a framework for courage, wisdom, persistence, vulnerability, cleansing, adaptability, mastery, emotional intelligence, integrity, endurance, creativity and acceptance.

The mythology gives the work shape. Your actual life supplies the labours. Hercules was hardly known for flawless decision-making either, so perfection is not an entry requirement.

Realm Eight

The Transformational Realm

Reality Hacker

Realm Eight explores deliberate transformation through identity, emotion, behaviour, symbols, environment, relationships, coherence, probability and nonlinear change.

This is where the Sage and the Magician start having longer conversations. Occasionally they disagree. I let them.

Realm Nine

The Potentiality Realm

Magic & Miracles

The final Realm explores intention, symbolism, ritual, alchemy, synchronicity, manifestation, consciousness, coherence and possibility. Some of this territory can be understood psychologically or symbolically. Some remains open.

You are not asked to switch off critical thinking before entering. Mystery does not require gullibility.

Why this order?

Because the journey gets wider as it goes.

Realm One begins with the person doing the work. Realm Two asks what consciousness is doing. Realm Three looks at identity. Realm Four listens to emotion. Realm Five enters healing. Realm Six examines conditioning. Realm Seven moves into lived action. Realm Eight explores deliberate transformation. Realm Nine reaches the edge of possibility.

The sequence matters as a complete journey. It does not mean you need to begin at Realm One every time something happens in your life.

Two ways to use the map

Personal exploration or professional practice.

The intellectual framework is the same. What you are entitled and trained to do with it is not.

The complete journey

Boundless brings the Nine Realms together.

There is a Personal Edition and a Practitioner Edition, and they serve different purposes.

Boundless Personal is for your own journey through the Nine Realms. Boundless Practitioner is the complete professional route and includes Sanomentology, practitioner application of the Nine Realms and the support that belongs to the professional pathway.

Buying individual Realms separately does not turn them into practitioner training. Separate Realm purchases remain self-directed Personal Editions.

One final thing

You do not have to agree with me.

The Nine Realms contains established knowledge, practical models, personal observation, philosophy, hypotheses and questions that remain genuinely open.

I think it matters that we know which is which. Evidence matters. Experience matters. Curiosity matters. And occasionally the most useful answer available is still: I don't know yet.

You are welcome to question the work, test it, disagree with parts of it and keep the bits that make your map better.

If this is your first visit

You do not need to understand all nine today.

Make tea. Look around. Read about a Realm. Try a free preview. Take one of the free trainings. Bring a question to the Council.

See whether this feels like somewhere you would like to spend more time.

If it does, welcome. There is a lot here. You have plenty of time.
