The more people you work with, the harder it becomes to believe that one model explains everybody.
A client may present with anxiety and turn out to be struggling with identity. Another may describe low motivation when the deeper problem is conditioning, emotional conflict or a life that no longer makes sense to them.
Someone else may have done years of therapeutic work and still feel that the important part has never quite been reached. Experienced practitioners recognise this fairly quickly. Human beings refuse to specialise according to our certificates.
