The nervous system may still be responding to something that is over in time but not over in experience.
Sanomentology trains you to understand the person before choosing the intervention: to formulate what may actually be happening, select deliberately and know why the work belongs.
Already working with people? Sharpen the judgement behind what you do. Starting from scratch? Level 1 begins with practitioner foundations and teaches the method from the ground up.
A genuine visit starts the personal current-price window. Level 1 and the Complete Practitioner Pathway remain available afterwards at their standard prices.
Some clients can explain their childhood, name the trigger, describe the pattern and tell you exactly why they behave as they do.
And it is still happening.

Sanomentology is a practitioner methodology for understanding the person before deciding what to do next. A practitioner can know twenty interventions and still have no good reason to choose one over another. Sanomentology changes the order. Understanding comes before intervention. The formulation is a working understanding, not a verdict on the person. If new information changes what you are looking at, the formulation has to move.
Symptom, identity, emotion, context, physiology, relationship, meaning and the practitioner’s own contribution.
What keeps the pattern in place? What function might it serve? What is missing from the obvious explanation?
Choose the work because the formulation supports it, not because it is the technique you happen to use most.
Good judgement includes knowing when to pause, when less is better and when another professional should be involved.
Notice what moved, what did not, and whether the formulation, process or sequence needs to change before you do more.
Training examples are tidy. Real people are not. They arrive with their own explanation, familiar labels, contradictions, half-finished thoughts and signals that do not always fit the technique you were taught to reach for.
This class is about what happens before the technique: how I think about a case, what I pay attention to, and why formulation comes before intervention.

I made an 8-page printable field kit to accompany this class. I’ll send it straight to your inbox.
They may need five different pieces of work. The word tells you what they are experiencing. It does not automatically tell you why it is happening or what should change.
The nervous system may still be responding to something that is over in time but not over in experience.
The sensation may be frightening because of what the person believes it means.
The real struggle may be an inability to tolerate not knowing what comes next.
The person may be living in circumstances that would keep almost anybody on alert.
Vigilance may have become part of staying safe. Remove the symptom without understanding the job and the system may replace it.
Useful training changes what you notice, the questions you ask and the reasons behind whatever you choose to do next.
Level 1 is complete practitioner training in its own right. Start there, use the work, and decide later whether you want Levels 2 and 3.
See Level 1 training optionsLevel 1 assumes you are learning from the beginning. It starts with the foundations of working responsibly with another person, then builds into the Sanomentology method itself.
That works equally well if you are adding something substantial to an existing profession or beginning a completely different kind of working life.
They are not all aiming for the same kind of work. Some are deepening clinical or therapeutic practice. Others use the thinking in leadership, strategy, communication or creative work. Some are starting a new helping career from the beginning.
It stands on its own as substantial practitioner education: how to work with people, how to formulate, how to communicate beyond surface conversation, how to use the core Sanomentology processes and how to decide what belongs in the room.
Rapport, listening, communication, safety, boundaries, scope, intent, professional conduct, practitioner state, rules, abreactions and knowing when not to proceed.
How conscious and unconscious experience is organised, noticed, accessed and made available for change.
Different induction approaches, responsiveness, rapid and progressive methods and practical communication with unconscious processes.
Inner Journeys, symbolic material and Interactive Lucid Dreaming, including the role of emotional learning and the amygdala.
Working deliberately with internal experience rather than merely talking about it.
GOSH, TIME and the central processes taught with their complete practitioner wording and structure.
Fears and phobias, pain, addictions, Freespa, weight management and other Level 1 applications.
Formulation, selection, sequencing, safety, scope, referral and knowing when another kind of help is the better answer.
That includes the practitioner foundations, a coherent way to formulate, complete process material, a substantial manual, exercises, assessment, certification route and direct support.
Listen to a real lesson. You will know quickly whether my way of explaining the work makes sense to you and whether you want more.

They came from different professional backgrounds and noticed different things about the training: its depth, how it fits with work they already do, and whether it is useful with real people.

“I am a psychologist and psychotraumatologist, and I can really see the effectiveness of Sanomentology. I am glad I came across such a well-structured modality.”

“Sanomentology fills this gap beautifully... Through symbolism, Sanomentology teaches how to release emotions and change the Core Schema.”

“Your Sanomentology training is the best training I have had so far. Your tools are my go-to when supporting others.”

“There’s nothing remotely shallow about this structure.”
She came to the work during a major crisis after losing a job she had been deeply identified with. Her experience was strong enough that she later chose to train in Sanomentology herself.
“The Sanomentology training truly proved to be a game changer in my life. When I started, I was going through a major crisis.”
“I was paralyzed by overwhelming shame, guilt, self-doubt, and imposter syndrome... I needed a fast, effective solution, as traditional therapy seemed too slow. Sanomentology was my lifeline.”
You should be able to sit with another person, think more clearly about what is happening and have a reason for whatever you choose to do next. The process itself is not the destination. What matters is whether something useful changes in the life the client goes back to.
Structure an initial practitioner conversation without turning it into an interrogation or rushing to a technique.
Formulate beyond the presenting problem and identify plausible maintaining patterns, meanings, identity issues, emotional processes and context.
Use the Level 1 Sanomentology processes as taught with the manual and full session structure available as working support.
Choose rather than grab. Have a reason for selecting a piece of work and a reason for leaving something alone.
Recognise the edge of your competence. Know when to pause, seek guidance or refer rather than pushing on because you feel you should fix everything.
Have a clear next step. Stop at Level 1 with substantial practitioner training, or continue into Levels 2 and 3 if you want deeper complexity and master-level formulation.
Level 1 and the Complete Practitioner Pathway remain available at their standard prices.
Practitioner Foundation, the Consciousness Codex, core Sanomentology, full manual, exercises, assessment, certification route and direct support.
The full Sanomentology practitioner pathway available from the beginning.
If you continue, Level 2 takes you further into identity, emotion and complex presentations. Level 3 brings the wider method together through advanced formulation, integration and sequencing.
Learn to practise. Practitioner foundations, the Consciousness Codex and core Sanomentology.
Learn to work with greater complexity. Identity, emotion, PTSD-related work and complex/chronic presentations.
Learn to formulate across the whole system. Advanced Sanomentology, advanced integration and sequencing.
If you already know you want the full Sanomentology pathway, take all three levels together and work through them at your own pace.
I developed Sanomentology first. Nine Realms Institute grew around it later as the wider home for the training, books, programmes and the Nine Realms. Sanomentology developed from a practical frustration: people do not arrive in neat categories, and knowing an intervention is not the same thing as knowing when it belongs in the room.
I am still trying to work people out. I would be suspicious of anybody who was not.
Listen properly. Work out what may be happening. Then have a reason for whatever you do next.
